Happy Birthday Gorgeous!

I'm upside down at the moment as I have just had my first order from the new catalogue arrive and just sit staring at it wondering what to use first. Can't wait to play with the Stamparatus but need to get everything put away first. (have my next order ready and waiting to go on the 1st of next month) and can't wait for that one to arrive either) Do you know the feeling "Great" isn't it.

This is a card I created for my Aunt's birthday and I must say she is gorgeous and only a few months older than me so we are more like friends than Aunt and Niece.

I used a lot of retired items but there are very good alternatives in the new Catalogue.

It was quite easy to put together and you only have two things to stamp and that is the Happy Birthday and the Marble background. The rest is either matting or die cutting.

I just loved the colours for this card and hope my Aunt likes it.

The materials used are:
® = retired, (sab) = Sale-A-Bration (nsu) = not stampin’ up

Card stock: Berry Burst, Blushing Bride, Tranquil Tide, Whisper White
Ink: Berry Burst
DSP: Perfectly Artistic ® (Marbled stamp would be a good substitute)
Stamp sets: Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Embossing folders: Fancy Fan ® (Quilt Top would be a good substitute)
Embossing powders: Clear
Thinlits: Flourish
Accessories: Basic Pearls, Organza Ribbon ®

The size of the card is: Imperial 5" x 7", Metric 17.6 x 12.6

Well, now to get to grips with sorting out the craft room, moving whats no longer in and arranging all my lovely new goodies!!! Oh what fun but sad to see a lot go as well. Maybe start selling off some of my old stash, not sure yet.

Will be back again soon with more cards

Easy Flourish

I found a beautiful card the other day while looking for inspiration on Pinterest.  as I didn't have all the products I put my own spin on it and was quite pleased with the results. What's more it was very easy to do as there was only the "Happy Birthday" to stamp.

A lot of it's done from retired products from SU but could easily be recreated using up to date products.

The original card is from Tania Johnson's blog, Taniasstamphaven.blogspot.com where there are lots of lovely cards to browse through.
