Tailored Guy Greetings

Well I still find guy cards a struggle, but with the True gentleman suite and Guy Greetings stamp set this one came together quite easily.

I wasn't sure about getting any of this suite especially the punch but was glad I did. The card just came together with no headaches. Simple but effective.

I got my new catalogue from Stampin' Up! yesterday and it arrived while my lovely friend Peg was visiting, so it was great fun flicking through a few of the pages together.

I've now got to go through it more closely and decide what I'd like to get this year.  What a choice there is, too much for my small purse but I will keep looking and changing my mind for a few days before the much looked forward to 1st of June. When I can place my first order of the new year!!!

Easy Flourish

I found a beautiful card the other day while looking for inspiration on Pinterest.  as I didn't have all the products I put my own spin on it and was quite pleased with the results. What's more it was very easy to do as there was only the "Happy Birthday" to stamp.

A lot of it's done from retired products from SU but could easily be recreated using up to date products.

The original card is from Tania Johnson's blog, Taniasstamphaven.blogspot.com where there are lots of lovely cards to browse through.

The materials used are:

Card stock: Berry Burst, Blushing Bride, Tranquil Tide, Whisper White
Ink: Berry Burst
DSP: Perfectly Artistic ® (Marbled stamp would be a good substitute)
Stamp sets: Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Embossing folders: Fancy Fan ®
Embossing powders: Clear
Thinlits: Flourish
Accessories: Basic Pearls, Organza Ribbon ®

Early Baby

Had a big surprise ten days ago!!!

Our daughter in law, who was due to have a baby at the end of July delivered our Grandson thirteen weeks early. Both are doing well.

I hadn't even thought about making them a card yet as we didn't know if it was a boy or a girl and I still had 3 months to decide what to do ha ha. So I rushed into my craftroom the next morning and hey presto this is what I came up with.

After making sure my Dad was ok and had everything he needed for a couple of days we headed off down south.

He's so tiny yet quite long. And of course I feel he looks just like his dad.

He'll be in hospital for quite some time yet so there will be lots of travelling up and down the M5 in the next couple of months.
