The sunburst is die cut using the vellum. The happy is die cut using dazzling diamonds glimmer and coloured with highland heather blends as is the grand daughter and 18th (nsu). The card was finished off with an organza bow and enamel shapes.

Perennial Waterfront

This was a simple card to make using the waterfront stamp set as the main feature.

There are 4 layers to the card, first a white base, then blueberry bushel followed by shaded spruce and finally a white layer that I just stamped from the top down using the waterfront set and then stamped the happy birthday from the perennial birthday set at the very bottom. After stamping, I embossed this layer using the subtle folder, then added the grosgrain ribbon and the die cut Son (nsu).

Stamps: Perennial Birthday, Waterfront Colours: Balmy Blue, Blueberry Bushel, Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, Whisper White Embossing Folders: Subtle Accessories: Grosgrain Ribbon ®

Envelope Surprise

Today's card is what I call an Envelope card, open it and get a surprise. I made this one for my nephew. We don't see him very often as he goes to his dad's most weekends.

It wasn't too hard once i worked out the distance between the stamping (there is another blue happy birthday under the top flap). The brick wall was layered with the dapper denim and adhered to the whisper white base card. The sentiment was then die cut with the stitched shapes ovals adhered to the top of the card and a velcro dot used to keep the card closed.

For the inside I used the eastern palace dsp and layered again with the dapper denim. then made a pocket for his gift voucher and used a paper clip to keep it in place. The  shoes and second sentiment were die cut with the stitched shape dies and layered up, the shoes with a larger stitched square and the sentiment with the artisan punch shape.

The materials used are:

Bright and Beautiful

Well not beautiful but very bright and I felt this card has a happy feel about it.

My granddaughters birthday was back in September and I've been so busy with things since then I didn't get round to uploading it until now, but better late than never.

With the ribbon, although you can't see it very well there are two colours Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral. these colours are not within the card but matched quite well and I wanted something down the side.

The materials used are:
® = retired, (sab) = Sale-A-Bration (nsu) = not stampin’ up

Stamps: Happy Birthday Gorgeous Colours: Basic Black, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Lovely Lipstick, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White  Embossing Folders: Seaside Embossing Powders: White Punches: Cookie Cutter Thinlits: Happy Birthday Accessories: Organza Ribbon ®, VersaMark, Watercolor paper, Wink of Stella

I love bright cards and think this is a great one.

I started with a base card of whisper white 13.5cm square with the front embossed with the seaside folder. i then cut a strip of basic black 13.5cm x 5cm, I stamped the happy with versaMark and embossed with white embossing power. Then i took a strip of watercolor paper and sponged out a rainbow of colours then die cut the birthday out and a few small circles in various sides. I die cut about another 4 birthday’s in plain whisper white and layered them up to give the birthday some depth. I coated the small circles with wink of stella and placed them randomly around the card. Lastly I used some retired ribbon to run down the edge of the card and tied in a knot.
