Heartfelt Blooms meets Petal Pair

This is a card I made a while ago and just hadn't got round to posting it before. Some of the products have now been retired off but there are plenty of alternatives in the current catalogues.  I got this stamp and put it on my shelf and clean forgot about it (how tragic is that) it's beautiful when stamped.

1 I started with a base card of 10.5 x 14.5 (i find this easier than 14.8).
2 The first layer is 10 x 14 and adhered straight onto the card base.
3 The second layer is 9.5 x 13.5 and embossed with the petal pairs folder towards the left hand side and then swiped down gently with the calypso coral ink pad and some white organza ribbon is tied around it before sticking it to the first layer using dimensionals.
4 Stamp the heartfelt image onto a piece of whisper white card stock and then die cut it using the stitched square framelits along with a scallop square from the layering squares set for the border.
5 Adhere these together using dimensionals and then again using dimensionals place over the top of the ribbon.
6 Stamp the happy birthday from the create a cupcake or similar stamp set and punch it out using the window punch.
7 Punch a border for the sentiment using the modern label punch and adhere the sentiment. Pop this up on dimensionals and then add some pearls to finish off the card.

Plain and Simple

That's it my Christmas cards for 2018 are completed and I can start on January's birthday cards from Monday.

Have had a really busy week again this week, Dad at hospital, car service (yearly trip to Birmingham for the day, yippee !!!) I just love yearly car service day.  Dad shopping and Daughter at hospital.

The card I'm featuring today is a plain and simple one, with some of it being retired product which can be swapped out for current product.

The card base is 10.5 x 14.5 cm and the Whisper White matting is 10 x 14 cm with the bottom 9 cm embossed with the pinewood planks an gently rubbed across with the memento ink. Next the dsp is cut to 2" x 10 cm (sorry for the mixture of metric and imperial) and attached above the planks. The retired satin ribbon is attached and the black cord placed over it to finish off the matting. Both the heart and happy birthday are die cut and attached (I used tombo glue with a sponge to attach the happy birthday and dimensions for the heart to which I added a red rhinestone.  The last thing I did was create a computer generated sentiment and die cut this using the tailored tag punch once cut I trimmed it down slightly and die cut a second tag in black and layered them together, then placed it as seen in the photo.

Very Vintage

Well can you believe it, I nearly forgot to do my sister in law a birthday card this year. I went to my box of completed cards to pick it out to give to her and there wasn't one there!!! So what do I do in half an hour.

Get a base card of whisper white 10.5 x 14.5, Then a layer of Highland Heather 14 x 10 (i die cut the larger oval from this piece)  followed by a layer of Sahara Sand 13 x 9 embossed with the basket weave folder. Next i randomly stamped round the edge of the larger oval with the round stamp from the very vintage set in highland heather.  Die cut the white oval and stamped it with the large flower from the very vintage set, then embossed this with the subtle folder. Next I stamped the happy birthday on a scrap of whisper white, punched it out using the classic label punch and ran it through the big shot again using the subtle folder. Added a bow using the narrow organza ribbon. Done!!!
