Blast from the Past

Well I think this is a first, a card with no stamping.  I had die cut the Happy Birthday in what I thought was Chocolate Chip only to find it was Bravo Burgundy, which was retired a long time ago. Well what the heck why not use it. So here it is. I raided my extensive stash to find the To the Nines DSP which includes Bravo Burgundy. Then embossed some Very Vanilla card stock with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder that I'd swiped with Bravo Burgundy ink. The result was just what I was looking for.

I dressed up the DSP with some linen thread and a Silver Basics button and that was it card done.

I now try and use more of the goodies I buy like DSP, Sequins, ribbon and threads etc, but find it so hard to start using them when they're new. Maybe you can recreate this card with up to date materials, you'll find it's so easy to make and it's a good card for the men in your life.

The materials used are:
® = retired, (nsu) = not stampin’ up

Card stock: Bravo Burgundy ®, Glimmer Paper, Very Vanilla
Ink: Bravo Burgundy ®
DSP: To The Nines ®
Embossing folders: Pinewood Planks Dynamic
Thinlits: Happy Birthday
Buttons: Silver Basics ®
Accessories: Linen Thread

Will be back again soon with more cards

Love Annette x
