Well todays card has a plaid look to it, as yesterday was my dad's birthday and he's scottish I thought plaid might be suitable. I decided to look at my old stash of DSP and liked the colour combo in this pattern and played around with it until I was happy with the outcome. The only drawback to it was most of the colours are now retired, but you can always swap them out for up to date colours and paper and use layering squares instead of the retired punches.
The materials used are:
® = retired, (sab) = Sale-A-Bration, (H) = Hostess, (nsu) = not stampin’ up
Card: Tangerine Tango ®, Whisper White DSP: Howlstooth ® Ink: Tangerine Tango ® Stamps: Very Vintage ((H) Embossing Folders: Subtle Thinlits: Little Letters ® Punches: Square 1¼ ® , scallop square 1½ ®
1 start with a card base of whisper white measuring 13.5 x 13.5.
2 stamp the sentiment towards the bottom of the base card on the right hand side.
3 emboss the right hand side of the base card from the middle with the subtle folder.
4 cut a piece of the dsp 13.5 x 6.75 and adhere this to the left hand side of the base card.
5 then punch out 3 squares from another piece of the dsp.
6 with some scrap pieces of tangerine tango punch 3 scallop squares and die cut the letters from the little letters dies.
7 layer the squares and letters up and place them down the centre of the card.
Will be back again soon with more cards
Love Annette x
