Star of Light meets Butterfly Gala

We had a covering of snow yesterday which at the time looked lovely, but today it's now not so good and the weather is dull and miserable but not quite so cold.

I made this card for my granddaughter, unfortunately I still didn't have the Butterfly Gala bundle so had to use the Papillon Potpourri stamp set along with the matching butterfly punches. But you can now do the same card with the butterfly gala stamp set and coordinating punch (it's a must have for me).

To recreate the card follow the guide below.
® = retired, (sab) = Sale-A-Bration, (H) = Hostess, (nsu) = not stampin’ up, (ss) = Stamp set, DSP = designer series paper, CS = Card Stock

Base card of thick Whisper White measuring  4 X 8⅜.
First layer Basic Black  8¼ x 4
Second layer In Color DSP 3½ x 7¾,
Third layer powder pink 3¼ x 7½ and stamped using the Swirl from the Star of Light (ss) twice, rotating it 180 degree's for the second one, then emboss using the subtle folder.
Use an off cut of Powder Pink CS to stamp the butterflies from the Butterfly Gala (ss) using Berry Burst and punch them out using the Butterfly Duet punch, you will need 2 small butterflies and 1 larger butterfly.
Using the Sparkle glimmer paper cut a piece large enough for the sentiment Sweet from the Cupcake Cutouts framelits and add adhesive sheeting to the back for easier sticking
Die cut the sentiment and numbers from the Large Numbers ® framelits
Now adhere the layers of the card using your preferred glue, then place the sweet sentiment where you want it to be and add dimensional pads to the numbers and place them where you want them to be then add the butterflies.
Adorn the the butterflies with basic pearls and add a bow.

Will be back again soon with more cards

Love Annette x
